Health Canada announced yesterday that Zaditen, a prescription asthma drug for children is being recalled due to an inadequate amount of the active drug, ketotifen, in the drug as compared to the amount stated on the packaging label.

Company:  Paladin Labs Inc., Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Asthma Medication Recalled: Zaditen, lot No. 440494. in blister packages of 14 tablets in one-milligram doses.

Potential Health Risks from using this lot include: worsening of asthma symptoms in people with a stable condition.
