Come celebrate the official opening of the Joseph Bannon Park and the official street naming with:

After the official ceremony, a
fall festival with family activities, food and refreshments will take place in the park
Joseph Bannon Park was named to honour Joseph Bannon, a decorated war hero and one of Emery Village’s greatest community champions
Bannon and his wife Doris May became foster parents to more than 150 babies and unwanted children, and adopted seven of them
Bannon was a founding patron of St. Jude’s Catholic Church on Weston Road
The new one-hectare park features:
an artificial outdoor ice rink
senior and junior play structure
mini soccer field
