Dance Manitoba Festival 2011
May 7-22, 2011
The 2011 Festival is our 31st celebration of dance in Manitoba.
Dance Manitoba is very excited to celebrate the Provincial Dance Festival, which has grown from a one-day program to a fourteen-day event, held annually in May, featuring performances by more than 1,600 dancers from all over Manitoba.
The Festival gives its participants the opportunity to assess achievements, and to share ideas and aspirations. The Provincial Dance Festival is a high-profile, non-competitive event that affords its participants opportunities for learning through adjudicators’ critiques, workshops and master classes, as well as the chance to meet with other dancers and the experience of working in a professional theatre with a professional crew. Through these elements, the Festival provides opportunities for dancers and teachers to develop technically and artistically.
The deadline for participants’ entry was Friday, February 25, 2011, 5 PM.
However, you, and your family and/or friends can enjoy Dance Manitoba Festival as spectators on May 7-11, 2011.
