SnowSeekers Inc. is offering a FREE SnowSeekers Go-Guide App 2.0 to help all snowbound adventure enthusiasts enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, or snowshoeing in the western region of Canada (Alberta and British Columbia).
This smartphone application, SnowSeekers Go-Guide 2.0, is a one stop shop. All 19 winter destinations can be explored through one easy-to-use application that’s compatible with iPhone, iTouch, BlackBerry, and Android (BlackBerry and Android versions will be available later this month).
SnowSeekers Go-Guide App 2.0 also serves as a snow alarm that alerts you when your destination(s) of choice receives over five cm of snow overnight. And other features include:
- Digital Coupon Book …will get you lift tickets, hotel deals, tour/activity discounts, merchandise sales, and more. Coupons will be added as the season moves along, so keep checking back!
- Push Notifications… about time-sensitive deals from your favourite pubs, clubs, stores, and hotels.
- “Hot Spot” Heat Map whereby you can “check in” to whatever pub/restaurant/bar you’re at to let other Go-Guide users know where you are. A corresponding heat map displays the hottest spots in town at any given moment.
- Snow Reports & Weather Conditions via daily RSS feeds which will give you all the information you need for planning your next trip to the mountain; it’s the first third-party app to use the Weather Network’s weather feed.
- Guidebook Listings wherein each destination features a robust directory of restaurants, accommodations, activities, tour operators, and shopping options.
- The Mountain: digital trail maps, mountain stats, attraction info, with more features coming.
