Ontario’s Smog Advisory Terminated June 11, 2012

This is an update to my previous blogs:

• Smog Advisory Partially Lifted for Parts of Southwestern Ontario June 11, 2012

• Smog Alert: Southern Ontario and Parts of Central Ontario June 9-10, 2012.

The good news is that, effective immediately, a Smog Advisory has been lifted or terminated by the Ministry of the Environment for the following forecast regions:

• Barrie-Orillia-Midland
• City of Hamilton
• City of Toronto
• Dufferin-Innisfil
• Dunnville-Caledonia-Haldimand
• Elgin
• Halton-Peel
• Niagara
• Oxford-Brant
• Parry Sound-Muskoka-Huntsville
• Simcoe-Delhi-Norfolk
• Waterloo-Wellington
• York-Durham

• A Smog Advisory is issued in your region when the AQI is expected to reach 50 in the next 24 hours.

• It can be lifted once the AQI is expected to reach or drops below 50.

Increasing cloudiness and unsettled weather are resulting in cleaner air in southern and central Ontario.
