Over 60 Exhilarating Events are Free to Celebrate Bike Month

Toronto, Ontario, Canada is celebrating Bike Month in June to raise awareness of the cycling benefits for both people’s health and the environment as well as to encourage people to ride their bikes more.

The City of Toronto provides an updated list of over 60 exhilarating and exciting events, free, for celebrating Bike Month.

Here are some of these events you can participate in and celebrate by being a cyclist and taking on at least one of the following roles:

  • nature enthusiast on 06/13/10   Pedal the Humber Central West, Southwest (free food picnic with live music)
  • photographer from 06/07/10 to 06/20/10   Life Cycles Downtown, Southeast (free photography gallery admission)
  • winning cyclist from 06/09/10 to 06/23/10  Find-A-Norco-Bike Downtown, Central East, Central West Northeast, Northwest, Southeast, Southwest (find and win a free Norco Bike hidden in Toronto)

Furthermore, there will be a Bicycle Rodeo Safety Program on Saturday, June 26th, in the parking lot of  the Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church, 414, Royal York Road (at Melrose), Toronto. The Bicycle Rodeo Safety Program will help children to be more bicycle safety conscious as they enjoy a day of fun with games and instruction concerning bicycle safety.
