Students can start to apply now for summer jobs in Ontario, Canada, via the Employment Ontario’s Summer Jobs website, where students can:

FREE Summer Jobs Service is provided to students seeking summer employment as follows:

  • Summer Jobs Service is a free job search and self-marketing service that helps students find summer jobs.
  • Job placements can begin as early as April 1. Application activity is ongoing.
  • Students aged 15 to 30 who plan to return to school this fall are eligible.
  • Self-marketing and job search services are available through 100 Employment Ontario service provider sites across the province.

New Southwestern Ontario Development Fund Depends on Approval of ATTRACTING INVESTMENT AND CREATING JOBS ACT

Thanks to the successful Eastern Ontario Development Fund, Canadians in Ontario gained the following economic benefits:

  •  over 11,700 jobs were created and protected
  •  leveraged over $485 million in investment across Eastern Ontario

Now, Ontario is attempting this economic balancing act: in order to create the new Southwestern Ontario Development Fund as well as make both the Eastern Ontario Development Fund and the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund permanent, the Attracting Investment and Creating Jobs Act must be approved and passed.
