April is National Poetry Month.

You can celebrate by enjoying FREE entertaining poetry-related films on NFB Mediatheque’s Digital Viewing Stations all month long  at 150 John Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5V 3C3, 416-973-3012.

FREE films at the NFB Mediatheque include:

  • Bruce Alcock’s At the Quinte Hotel;
  • Torill Kove’s The Danish Poet, the Best Animated Short Oscar-winner in 2007;
  • In Short: Leonard Cohen, a series of short films inspired by the master poet; and
  • Eva Szasz’s The Cremation of Sam McGee.

Also available is Bruce Alcock’s recently Genie-nominated film, Vive la rose, based on the last recording by one of Newfoundland’s foremost traditional music performers, Émile Benoit.
