Toronto is the Host City of the 2015 Pan American/Parapan American Games.

  • The Pan American Games will be held from July 10 – 26, 2015 and the Parapan American Games will run from August 7 – 15, 2015 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
  • “Ten thousand athletes, coaches and officials from 41 countries across the Americas and the Caribbean, and 250,000 visitors will be inspired by Toronto’s hospitality, diversity and dynamism during the Games.”

    • This display details the Host City Showcase Program, a unique initiative featuring 28 innovative projects.
    • The exhibit also features facility investments and celebration programs that are being funded by the City of Toronto, Province of Ontario, the Government of Canada and other stakeholders and sponsors.

You’re Invited: Celebrate Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games Handover Ceremony Oct. 30, 2011

Toronto 2015 Pan/Parapan American Games will be the largest international multi-sport competition ever hosted in Canada.

The Toronto 2015 Pan American Games (aka Pan Am Games) will be held July 10-26, 2015 and the Parapan Am Games (aka Parapan American Games) August 7-14, 2015.

Parapan Am Games is like the Paralympics.

Also, the National Olympic Committees of the 42 participating countries make up the Pan American Sports Organization (PASO), which coordinates the Pan American Games.

More than 10,000 athletes, coaches and delegates from the Caribbean, Central America, South America and North America will compete in 48 sports at more than 40 venues, spread across 17 municipalities of the Greater Golden Horseshoe Region.
