Winterlicious 2011 kicks off at City Hall

Toronto restaurateurs and chefs bring the celebration to City Hall by serving tasty samples from their Winterlicious menus.

Remarks will be made by Councillor Michael Thompson (Ward 37 Scarborough Centre), Chair of the Economic Development and Culture Committee, Kathryn Ashby, owner of Café du Lac restaurant and Tracey Evans, Vice President, Merchant Services Marketing, Amex Bank of Canada.

Samples from the Winterlicious menus will be provided by Café du Lac and Oliver Bonacini Cafe Grill.

The 2011 edition of Winterlicious, presented by American Express, offers diners unique value-priced three-course prix-fixe meals at 150 of Toronto’s top restaurants along with a series of 14 unique culinary events. Since 2003, Winterlicious and Summerlicious have generated more than $116 million in direct spending through 2.7 million meals served at participating Toronto restaurants and garnered significant national exposure for Toronto’s culinary industry.
