Enjoy the various events including:

  • weekend-long exhibit that “explores the cross-pollination between classical and popular music” via interactive listening stations
  •  Rhythm & Motion Tango lesson

  • tango dance demonstration that traces the variety and history of the tango from the clubs of Buenos Aires to Toronto
  • Nuevo Tango-inspired music by Montreal quartet, Quartango featuring the performance of Tango Soul which is a couple of traditional Argentinean tango dancers whose styles derive from the milongas of Buenos Aires

  •  film screening of El día que me quieras featuring Carlos Gardel, the first great singer of the Tango
  • A programme of jazz, pop and classical tangos by Art of Time Ensemble, one of Canada’s most innovative and artistically accomplished music ensemble.

Also, kids can have fun, too, with the following events:

  • Watching the Young Artists Performance Academy of The Royal Conservatory of Music, which will showcase gifted musicians aged nine to 18.
  • Learning how to make an easy-to-play musical instrument – the tambourine!
  • The Story of Babar narrated by Steven Page and accompaniment by Serouj Kradjian performing music by French composer Francis Poulenc.
  • discover and appreciate the world of Indian classical music through rhythmic tunes, rich vocals, mini instruments and vibrant visuals.
