“The NFB Mediatheque is proud to be a part of the city-wide celebration that is Doors Open Toronto!

All weekend long, we’ll be offering FREE animation workshops for the public. But that’s not all! We’ve got two whole days of digital exhibits, film programs and special events for you to enjoy.

Enter our new interactive lounge space, and immerse yourself in films and images related to this year’s Doors Open themes of architecture and photography. Want more? Choose from the more than 6,000 films available on our Digital Viewing Stations, always FREE!

Take in a digital photo exhibit showcasing hundreds of high quality images from the NFB’s vast archives, spanning more than 70 years.

Want to improve your video-making skills? Ask one of our special guest cinematographers, who will be on hand to offer tips from 12 PM to 2 PM. Patrick Leduc is our in-house expert on Saturday, and Richard Grunberg will join us Sunday.

Winded from all these activities? Have a seat in our cinema! We’ll be screening films that show Toronto then and now, along with some of the most acclaimed NFB documentaries about photography and the urban experience.

So come and knock on our door! And be sure to check in on Foursquare during Doors Open weekend to be eligibile to win a prize-package of three NFB DVDs: The Museum, Manufactured Landscapes and The Memories of Angels. The winner will be notified June 1!”
