Good happened in Willowdale, Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada!
Last Thursday, January 21, the Rotary Club of Willowdale proved to be an awesome force of altruism via the following double deeds!!!
1. President Al gave the Club’s final cheque of $20,000 to St. John’s Rehabilitation Hospital, which was the remaining amount of a total commitment of $50,000.
2. The Rotary Club and friends of Rotary (LeTip, a networking group) donated the money to purchase at least 10 ShelterBoxes for the victims of the earthquake in Haiti. Rotarian John deBoer secured shipment of medical supplies to Haiti.
