Grand opening of Toronto’s first ice skating trail

Join Councillor Mark Grimes (Ward 6 Etobicoke-Lakeshore) at the grand opening of the new ice skating trail at Colonel Sam Smith Park. The trail is a unique outdoor rink that extends in a figure-eight shape through the park, covering 250 metres. Features include a refrigerated ice surface, an open area for beginner skaters, lighting and a sound system.

There will be a tree lighting and a skating party following the remarks.

Date: Saturday, December 11
Time: 4:30 p.m.
Location: 65 Colonel Sam Smith Park Dr. (south of Lake Shore Boulevard West at Kipling Avenue)

Note: All children under six years of age must wear a CSA-approved hockey helmet while on the ice.
