International cricket stars to join young Toronto players celebrating new cricket ground
Councillor Vincent Crisanti (Ward 1 Etobicoke North) will join international cricket hall of fame member Wasim Akram, Indian Premier League player Sunil Joshi, and local middle and high school students to celebrate the opening of the Thackeray Park Cricket Ground with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and skill-building drills for young cricketers.

Pastor Evon Nunes of the Thackeray stakeholder team and Kellie Sauriol, regional vice president of RBC Royal Bank, will also be on hand to celebrate the opening.
The Thackeray Park Cricket Ground was made possible in part through the generosity of donors, partners and volunteers from across the community, including the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority, the Toronto Police Services Board, RBC Royal Bank and the Ontario Cricket Association.
