This is an update to my previous blog Toronto Challenge 2011 Benefits You and Seniors.

The famous Jamie Farr, best known for the role of “Corporal Klinger” on the television show M*A*S*H, will be at the Toronto Challenge on June 12, 2011, to help promote this annual fundraising event for the City of Toronto’s Long-Term Care homes and over 50 community agencies that provide services and support to Toronto seniors.

Seniors prepare for the Toronto Challenge presented by MonsterMortgage.ca with entertainer Jamie Farr

Celebrated entertainer Jamie Farr will join Councillor Giorgio Mammoliti (Ward 7 York West), Chair of the Community Development and Recreation Committee, Nick Ametrano, Vice President of MonsterMortgage.ca, and residents from Lakeshore Lodge to promote this year’s Toronto Challenge presented by MonsterMortgage.ca. The Toronto Challenge is the annual fundraising event for the City of Toronto’s Long-Term Care homes and over 50 community agencies that provide services and support to Toronto seniors.

Farr, best known for the role of “Corporal Klinger” on the  television show M*A*S*H, and currently starring in the play “Tuesdays with Morrie” at Stage West, will share motivational stories from his career and entertain the “troops” at Lakeshore Lodge.

The Toronto Challenge presented by MonsterMortgage.ca will be held at Metro Hall on June 12. The event features a 5-km run, 5-km walk and 1-km walk with prizes awarded to participants in all age categories. More information is available at http://www.toronto.ca/challenge.
