Boycott the ‘human safari park’
survivalinternational.org launched a tourist boycott of the main highway on India’s Andaman Islands – an illegal road which cuts through the land of the endangered Jarawa tribe.
Tour companies and cab drivers ‘attract’ the Jarawa with biscuits and sweets, and the road has turned into a ‘human safari park.’
In the first success of the boycott, tour operators on the islands last week came out in support.
