“Mark McKinney is associate professor in the French and Italian Departments of the University of Miami (Ohio), where he teaches courses on bande dessinée (comic books), French and French-language literature.
He is co-editor of Post-Colonial Cultures in France (1997), and the author of The Colonial Heritage of French Comics, published in 2011. In his talk, Mark McKinney will analyze the various representations of the Algerian war in French-language comics.”
