  • the launch of the City of Toronto’s annual employee fundraising drive for the United Way of Toronto by announcing its fundraising goal
  • as well as a singing contest
    • which will feature singers from five municipal sector organizations:
      • The Toronto Public Service

      • Toronto Police Services
      • Toronto Transit Commission
    • Kevin Carrington and Francis D’Souza of Citytv will host the competition

City to launch United Way employee campaign with singing contest

The City of Toronto will launch its annual employee fundraising drive for the United Way of Toronto by announcing its fundraising goal and holding a singing competition on Nathan Phillips Square.

Date: Tuesday, September 11
Time: noon to 2 p.m.
Location: Nathan Phillips Square, 100 Queen St. W.

To highlight the broad reach of municipal employees, a singing contest will feature singers from five municipal sector organizations: the Toronto Public Service, Toronto Hydro, Toronto Community Housing, Toronto Police Services and Toronto Transit Commission. Kevin Carrington and Francis D’Souza of Citytv will host the competition. Singer Divine Brown and Q107 morning hosts John Derringer and Maureen Holloway will act as judges.
