There are two PhotoSensitive exhibitions in Canada in March 2012:

Kids Who Can

Kids Who Can is Photosensitive’s black & white multimedia exhibition showcasing 12  Easter Seals camps across Canada, sponsored by Canon.

The Kids Who Can exhibition captures:

  • “the energy and enthusiasm of Canadian youth with physical and mental disabilities
  • and the compelling work of 25 Canadian photographers and videographers across eight provinces.”

As well as containing around 60 large-format photos, a touch screen unit will also be showing 12 short films of camps from across the country.

The space is open 24/7 and is free to the public.

Please note that Kids Who Can will also be celebrated on the 2012 Easter Seals Telethon in Ontario on April 1, 2012 on CBC Toronto 12 noon – 6:00 p.m. (please click here to check your region):

  • Prizes will be awarded to the top three videos, including a first prize round trip to Ottawa on VIA Rail and a Canon Canada camera.

TIEd Together

West Edmonton Mall, Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

March 1 – 15

FREE

TIEd Together, an exhibition of portraits of prostate cancer survivors, produced in partnership with Prostate Cancer Canada, started the Edmonton leg of its national tour on Thursday March 1, 2012.

The exhibition, which features over 100 photos of prostate cancer survivors and their loved ones, is showing at the West Edmonton Mall from March 1 – 15, is free to the public and available to view during mall opening hours.

The exhibition is displayed in the west side of level one, outside the Chapters store.
