Smog Alert Lifted for Elgin/Huron/London/Sarnia/Windsor & Vicinities

This is an update to my previous blog Smog Alert: Elgin/Huron/London/Sarnia/Windsor & Vicinities May 28, 2012.

The good news is that, effective immediately, a Smog Alert has been lifted or terminated by the Ministry of the Environment for the following forecast regions:

  • Elgin
  • Huron-Perth
  • London-Middlesex
  • Sarnia-Lambton
  • Windsor-Essex-Chatham-Kent

Please click here to read the improved Current Air Quality Index (AQI) Readings for Ontario on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, 1:00 am

  • A Smog Advisory is issued in your region when the AQI is expected to reach 50 in the next 24 hours.
  • It can be lifted once the AQI is expected to reach or drops below 50.

A change in weather conditions is causing improving air quality in southern Ontario.
