  • Italian contemporary artist Angelo Filomeno, known for his captivating machine-sewn embroidery on pieces of silk stretched over canvas, will exhibit eight of his works at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Toronto

  • Gallery hours: Mon – Fri: 10:00am – 1:00pm; 2:30pm – 5:00pm

  • On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Luciano Berio’s death, the UofT New Music Festival in collaboration with the Department of Italian Studies – University of Toronto and the Istituto Italiano di Cultura, presents Luciano Berio 1925-2003: A Retrospective – The Complete Sequenzas which is:
    • a concert by faculty artists and guests

    • curated by Duo ConTempera

  • This Berio Retrospective will see the first performance of the complete sequenzas by Berio in one evening in Canada
  • Joseph Petric and David Hetherington from Duo ConTempera, are excited to be collaborating with Festival Co-ordinator Norbert Palej in this presentation with UofT New Music Festival
  •  This concert lasts 3 hours and 40 minutes with intermission
  • Presented by: Department of Italian Studies – University of Toronto
    • In collaboration with: Istituto Italiano di Cultura

  • Staging: Graham Cozzubbo
  • Narrations of poetry for each Sequenza by Berio and Sanguineti read by Joseph Petric
